My name is James and I live in a little town in South Yorkshire. I've lived my whole life here and received my education here. Now understand that I was an awkward child and teenager and to be fair I'm still awkward haha but this means that I didn't do too well in school as I was too concerned about trying to fit in with other kids that I lost focus on my education and so I left without any decent grades at all. As an adult however I have found that I have a fascination with learning new things and I often find myself watching a lot of documentaries or the latest horror based series.
So yeah I love horror, my dad has played a huge role in that by introducing me to the movie Alien at a young age and from there it just grew into a love that sees me through to this very day. My alternate style is band shirt with either shorts or ripped black jeans plus a few accessories. I also do a 1950s Americana style rockabilly look when the mood is right.
So I should at least touch on my music taste since I have a passion for the thing lol I spent my young teen years discovering my new favourite band (korn) because it had elements of rap in it and that appealed to me back then. From that my tastes traveled to the thrash and groove flavours of the 90s and picked up an unhealthy obsession with Pantera and then went to find the obscene and obscure metal music and settled on a love for Lorna Shore, Gorjira amongst many others. I do listen to other genres especially the 40s and 50s and straight up crooner music but my love and passion is always going to be metal. If you were to look through my liked songs on Spotify though, you'd be hard pressed to find a consistent link between the genre's.
It took years of experience in regards to my relationships to really find myself and own up to my flaws and more importantly acknowledge them. I'm far from perfect and I'm currently going through help with my mental health and understanding what it means to have an attachment disorder from birth so please bare with me as I feel I'm ready to start a fresh new relationship but I can be clingy and too up front until I find my groove.
Speaking of groove I'm a drummer and have been playing since the tender age of 14 (I'm 35 as of writing this) and although I could have given myself to it more than I have I feel that I achieved a great deal with it and as such I'm able to teach my friends how to play and get them started down this musical path. I also play guitar and bass but I'm still a beginner at best with either of those and don't get me started on my pitiful attempt at learning the violin.
What can I offer to any woman daring enough to date me? Well I can say I'm completely monogamous and always have been. I will dote on my significant other and I will shower her in cuddles and affection. As said before I'm not exactly normal but I'm in touch with that and as such it means I'm very understanding when it comes to mental health and I will always be able to listen and help in anyway I can.
I don't expect nor encourage showers of gifts and opulence nor do I expect to be treated like a king, I'm honestly happy with the little things, an acceptance to me as a person and a prolonged embrace every now and then.
