Hi everyone, I'm Simon, recently moved to Llandudno from Birmingham, so have an exotic accent for where I live!
I love metal music, reading, cinema, Lego, gaming, art, and a multitude of geeky pursuits that pretty much go on forever. So, I’m often found geeking out about the nerdiest of things, with either a book or pen in my hand. Or sometimes both. And I'm a massive fan of the loud and colourful.
I used to be a DJ on internet radio, where I presented a rock/metal/gaming show, chronic pain issues put paid to that, but I still hold a love for gaming which has helped keep me sane through lockdown.
I'm also a digital artist, and spend a lot of time with that, and would love to get back into creative writing as well. My style is mostly comic/anime style with a few other bits of nerd/geek culture, but am branching out into other styles. Lockdown has also unleashed another area of creativity and an obsession with Fablon, so there's been quite a bit of furniture related fun lately.
I love horror and scifi, especially Star Wars, Stranger Things, and the usual stuff somebody of my age would love. And when not watching that or Game of Thrones, I’m particularly fond of weird and controversial comedy, as well as weirdness in general. Also, if you know what Star Fleet is (not the Star Trek one) I will probably love you forever!
Also, if it helps my case I make a decent cuppa!
One thing you should know, because I can't really hide it is that I'm a wheelchair user, I know it doesn't really sell me that well, but it does come with parking privileges, a decent view at gigs, and half price tickets to gigs.
Also worth noting is that I am of Ukrainian heritage, and am very vocal about certain issues. Slava Ukraini.
One last thing is that I collect rubber ducks, and I don’t know why....
