What's your favourite idea? Mine is being creative.
I'm Lucy, I am, in the grand scheme of things, a bit of an unusual sort (which I base off how people respond to my behaviour, which is positively but with some confusion, so that's fun)
I have an almost exhaustively diverse range of s**t I like, I find things like space and astronomy real fascinating, I own a telescope but me being me I haven't the foggiest how to see space with it, so it's just there hoping to be used, I leave towels on it after a shower.
I also like reading a lot, fantasy, sci fi, historical fiction, horror, or anything dark and honest and visceral, I'm a bit grim and grumpy like that (so hardcore very goth such wow)
I'm a lifelong and hopeless gamer, I love story driven, immersive games but I either have no time or no console to play at any given time, life is funny like that. My favourite games I've ever experienced are Assassin's Creed 2 (not as much the others) and the Bioshock series, but less 2 and more 1 in a toss up with Infinite.
I'm a huge movie fan- I love classic horror and any new, innovative, creepy, cerebral horror, thrillers, dramas, superhero stuff, sci fi, comedies- I just love a good movie and I love cinema trips.
I have a degree in theatre studies and definitely have a drama queen in me perpetually wrestling the stubborn, nerdy, anti-social freak that also lives in my head- it's fun, passes the time you know? I've done a fair bit of tech and lighting/sound design for theatre shows and failed epically at trying to freelance so that's kind of left me with a bitter taste, I still design here and there though.
I adore music, very passionate about my psychedelic rock, my progressive music- Pink Floyd, Zeppelin, Tool, Devin Townsend Project, Tesseract, Katatonia, Karnivool, Electric Wizard, Shinedown. I'm a fan of doom n gloom in music, can't say no to some hauntingly beautiful noise. I love classic metal and rock too- I'm a big maiden fan. I think I primarily find comfort and joy in metal through the anger and melancholia more than anything, although I find classical and really old medieval choir music really perplexing and amazing equally.
I'm a very sociable person, I love a good chinwag and I talk a lot (shocker) I love making people laugh, taking the piss and sharing a joke, I'm pretty confident and loud if the atmosphere feels right but I can be reserved sometimes too.
I haven't really figured my life out yet but I'm currently studying counselling as it's something I've always found really interesting, a long with psychology, and on reflection I think it's something I've always wanted to do.
I love learning so hopefully I can always continue to study things, if the price goes down I want many more degrees (history, archaeology, astronomy, psychology, physics, egyptology, philosophy) unrealistic I know but at least I've narrowed the choice down!
I'm a naturally curious person and I love meeting people and learning about them so if you haven't died while reading this and can think of literally any topic I haven't covered to talk to me about then feel free to communicate. I'm not here for relationships at the moment, I just want the opportunity to have good conversations with some people and ideally make some new friends in my area, I hope you understand
P.s I like cats. I like all animals even the naked mole rat that looks like an actual penis with teeth; I find it cute because I pity it, then I remember it's non sentient and gives no f**ks what it looks like, then I feel better. I no longer have a cat
P.p.s shout out to all the lurkers who look but don't talk, I see you!
