Well, Hello there...
Finally, I've found the time to update this disconcerting section.
If I wrote an honest about me, I would probably be fined by the public obscenity act...
But really, I'm not so awful.
Firstly, I would like to clarify - I'm in search of friends and like-minded people rather than a committed romance... I would say that I'm married to my music, but I have a habit of being unfaithful - A romantic relationship would probably be similar - I would play some fine tunes with you and then leave you on hiatus for 5 years...
☙Love in the Mist composer & Enslavement of beauty vocalist (2016 - eternity) ❧
Baroque bohemian egotist caught in the snares of death... Professional braggart & Harpsichord solo enthusiast.
When it comes to replying, I'm slower than a limbless man dragging a ship across the Sahara desert by his teeth. Bear with me... (or bare with me, if you wish...)
☙The simple details (for those who want to avoid my blather)❧
Lacking in the height department (5'8'' or so)
Incredibly heavy smoker, not that it's relevant online
Absinthe lover
Solo musician (Guitarist, bassist, pianist, vocalist and occasional drummer) and frontman of Enslavement of Beauty. Certainly no Mozart, but music is my one true love.
Bass-baritone voice... Most people expect my voice to be feminine, so prepare to be surprised.
Straight man with a penchant for high heels (boots rather than shoes)
I don't currently own a mobile phone. If we're already acquainted and you would like to contact me elsewhere, I do use Facebook calls and Skype phone calls
☙The complex details ❧
I possess a wicked sense of humour that can descend into the bleak, macabre and just plain coarse... Don't take anything I say too seriously. I probably come across as snobbish and obnoxious, but I do loosen up around familiar faces (Oh, that sounded very uppity)
I have an addiction to adding unnecessary punctuation at the end of every line...
Where my heart is:
Symphonic Black Metal, which is more colourful than it first sounds.
Baroque & classical music. I won't add too many details here as I tend to get carried away. I love Liszt, Vivaldi, Telemann, Haydn and Rachmaninov to name a few.
New Romantic & the sugar-coated synth pop of the 1980's... The Lotus Eaters,The Human League, Duran Duran, Spandau Ballet, Simple Minds, Classix Nouveaux, New Order, Talk Talk, Ultravox, etc. I don't listen to anything with an elitist mind. All music is an art form, irrelevant to the genre...
The decadent prose of Donatien Alphonse Francois, The infamous Marquis de Sade himself... Actually, most slightly immoral writings interest me...
Bret Easton Ellis' works (Glamorama & Lunar Park being the favourites)
Death & Exploration of the morbid... this is a rather complicated interest, so I'll leave it open to interpretation.
Taxidermy & curiosity items.
Studies of Extraterrestrial life (In a rational, scientific way... certainly not in a paranoid conspiracy theorist way)
The things that don't appeal to me -
Homophobic/Racist/generally bigoted people - While I'm certainly not the most politically correct person, I have a strong disliking for people who instantly judge someone on the colour of their skin, their sexual preferences or the things that make them who they are. Remember - One day, we all end up as a pile of bones, no one is superior in death.
Religion/strong personal beliefs - Live and let live... please don't try to force your beliefs on me. Do bear in mind that if you're being aggressive about personal beliefs towards others with different opinions, you're reinforcing bad stereotypes rather than changing anyone's mind. Everyone has a right to believe what they want to, but please don't use what you believe in as an excuse to verbally abuse strangers. Rational debate is fine, attacking people out of the blue because you disagree with them is not.
If you made it through this epilogue, I congratulate you.
Stray not into my darksome embrace, lest I grind my jaws on your soul...
