About Me: Yes, I really was a "Gothic" youth and I have a six inch wide tattoo of a tribal tiger spirit, which I got at the age of 16 (was my mother upset!), as well as seven (7) piercings, but I no longer wear them. I am a free spirit, at heart; and while I am a hard worker, I'm always more than willing and able to find time to play.
My Religion: I'm not very "religious," yet I have a great desire to commune with G-D & I definitely recognize G-d as our creator and nurturer. I do believe in G-d, but I am not a Zealot!
My Ethnicity: I come from a Jewish & German/Eastern European (Ashkenazim), with a little Irish, combined family background. I'm a 3rd generation American born. I'm also 1/8 Cherokee, even though I do not at all look it. Basically, I'm a Jewish American Mutt and we make the best pets!
Goals/Aspirations: An immediate goal is to become more involved with other people and activities(divorce has really taken a lot away from and out of me in that area), while maintaining an actively involved, long distance relationship with my two daughters, Kiera (age 14) & Lilythe (age 7), who now reside in California.
My Job: I used to be a cosmetologist, but I got frustrated with helping women with the external, knowing many were neglecting the inner self. So, I went back to school, changed career fields & now I am a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC).
My Education: When I decided to go back to school to become a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC), a degree was not yet required, just a bunch of behavioral science related education hours. I'm now kind of "on the fence" about wanting to go back to school and get a degree.
Hobbies/Points of Interest: Stained Glass, oil painting, Taking time to appreciate The Arts, Gardening, Cooking (I love to cook and I have developed many of my own recipes over the years), collecting things with skull (Momento Mori) motifs, Listening to and discovering new music, working with photos and videos of my two daughters and Studying/Researching things of personal interest.
Favorite Hot Spots: I love going to the Arboretum, Japanese Gardens & Museums, as well as the Theater. Don't forget the new and interesting restaurants!
My Pets: I really like Dachshunds (weenie dogs) and French Bulldogs. I had 2 Dachshunds for over a decade. My cats stayed with my children after the divorce.
My Taste In Music: I'm a Yid' and I like Klezmer music and I'm proud of it! One of my current favorite music bands is Rasputina, but I will always love Blondie most, as well as many other 80's bands, such as The Cure, Depeche Mode, The Smiths, and others. I also enjoy Russian music (groups and songs you probably wouldn't know much about, such as: Piknik & Chi-Li). big band, classical, electronica, techno, darkwave, swing, and other types of music as well, including Tool, Skinny Puppy, Front 242, Gogol Bordello, Dresden Dolls (pretty much anything but Rap!). I don't really like country, so much, but when I was a very little boy, I liked the Charlie Daniels Band and I still get excited when I hear "The Devil Went Down to Georgia".
Books: Yes, more please. My favorite books of all time have to be The Alienist and The Angel of Darkness, both by Caleb Carr as well as everything ever written by Anne Rice!
Television: I like to watch Supernatural,The Vampire Diaries (surprisingly, it's good), DR. Who, Fringe and I have all of the Alias series on DVD and a friend of mine has turned me on to the HBO series True Blood (very s*xy stuff!). I love weird stuff.
Movies: Bram Stoker's Dracula with Keanu Reeves and Winona Ryder, The Hunger, Amelie, Labyrinth, The Dark Crystal, Chocolat, Legend, Interview with a Vampire, Queen of the Damned, Hipsters/Stilyagi (Russian), Night Watch (Russian), Day Watch (Russian) and everything Tim Burton has put together for our visual feasting! Guys and Dolls, An American in Paris, GiGi (Don't you just love musicals?) Breakfast at Tiffany's,... And the list goes on and on! I'm no couch potato, but I love the movies!
Heroes: Albert Einstein! (If you have to ask why, you either do not know who the man was or you just don't get it!) Batman, Superman, WONDER WOMAN!!! I have too many others to list them all!
Who I'd Like to Meet: If you have tattoos and piercings that’s fine with me and if you don’t that’s fine too, I can live with or without them (It's what you do with your insides that’s most important). I'm hoping to meet a good hearted woman. The girl for me is one who has a great appreciation for the finer things in life while still being able to find pleasure and contentment in simpler and more modest sensibilities. A great sense of humor is a must! I like to be silly, quite often! I like creative, open minded and imaginative people, so if that’s not you I just might become easily bored and tire of you fairly quickly. It’s not that I require others to keep me entertained though, I can amuse myself (and often others) for hours on end. This girl (woman) must be open minded and independent, in both her thinking and her capabilities, while still having a strong foundation in her higher values. I’m looking for a partner, not a follower or a second mother. I’m very attracted to women who possess both the confidence and ability to take charge, but are also willing to let their fella do the same (taking the fragile male ego into consideration
). I do love a pretty face, so a girl that takes care of herself is a must. I prefer and appreciate the natural beauty of a woman who has very feminine facial structure and attributes. Oh yeah, you must like children too, because I have two little girls that I love more than anything else in this world!

First Date
I would first ask you what sort of things you are interested in and then give you the option of choosing from one of those things that I also would enjoy. As far as what I would like to do for a first date with a stranger,... I think that I should like to meet with her at the Zoo. I know it's not terribly romantic, but it sure would be fun, wouldn't it?! I also think I could get a pretty good first impression of a woman based on how she carries herself at a Zoo. The very fact that she would be willing to make this the first date would tell me a lot, and if we didn't hit it off we wouldn't have to be alone in a vehicle with this stranger that we wished we had never contacted in the first place,.... LOL!
This sort of thing is more of a first meeting than a first date anyway, isn't it? Now, if you think you'd like to learn more about me and eventually, possibly meet sometime just drop me a note and ask anything you'd like to know. I'll be glad to answer. Don't be scared,.... jump in my pocket.
