I have two degrees because I'm clearly insane, as anyone who's done an MA will tell you is a prerequisite for post-grad study. But thats not enough so I'm starting a PhD soon.I love languages - I know some Italian, Latin, Old Norse, Old English, German, Swedish and Icelandic. I hope to one day lecture at a university.
I like a lot of bands ranging from classic rock to black metal so to list the main ones - Jimi Hendrix, Yngwie Malmsteen, Nightwish, DragonForce, Iron Maiden, Amon Amarth, Cradle of Filth, All The Remains, Dimmu Borgir, Sonata Arctica, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, Led Zeppelin, Thin Lizzy, Rainbow, Deep Purple, Eluveitie, HammerFall, Sabaton, Rammstein, Joe Satriani, Disturbed, Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Within Temptation, Epica, Delain, Def Leppard, Whitesnake, ZZ Top. I play several instruments with guitar being the main one but also bass, drums, keyboard, mandolin and harmonica. I love composing music and I've played in bands and done some roadie work too.
I'm also into gaming (Total War, FIFA, retro Mega Drive and N64) science, horology, astronomy, philosophy, psychology, tennis, politics and football. I can quite happily spend hours discussing the latter two.
I hate liars, cheats and people who mess others around as I've had enough to do with people like that in the past. I tend to be fairly quiet at first but I like making people laugh. I'd describe myself as intellectual, geeky, funny, sarcastic (at times), motivated, ambitious, kind, caring and loyal. Any questions just ask!
