"Life is known by Precepts, but lived by Riddle, and so must be Thought."

I'm a Germanic Pagan and explorer of consciousness and higher-dimensional reality, an old soul, a vegetarian, a free-thinker, historian, cynic, and by most people's reckoning, a serious conspiracy theorist; a Sovereign Individualist, a ninja and Schüler des Langen Schwertes.

Even amongst odd people. I'm usually the weirdest one, in multiple senses. Musical tastes tend toward (though not exclusively), the dark ambient/neofolk end of the spectrum. I like things with harmony.

I have a love/hate relationship with literature. Even my favourite authors let me down with plot devices, failures to understand some critical piece of technology or society upon which their story arc rests, misreading of history, or unsavoury main characters. I am working on my own novel, a Steampunk alternate history set in the 1890s. Due to the aforementioned causes, most books I like are non-fiction, though amongst fiction I did enjoy the G. Seymour's The Journeyman Tailor, Dan Abnett's Eisenhorn stories, H.P. Lovecraft, and Patrick O'Brien's Aubrey/Maturin novels (though I got stuck in the middle because Stephen's marriage to Diane made me ill). I love the concept and world of Dune, but have a list of of issues that never would let me make it through book 3, and I ended up skipping it, and skimming books 4-6 for interesting bits. (The new books by his son and his hired hack, I ignore as the rubbish they are.)

I read a lot of history, philosophy, psychology parapsychology/occult studies, and plasma physics. I reject the misnamed 'Theory' of Relativity, and subscribe to the Electric Universe model. I'm one of those peculiar people who thinks statistical modelling is 'fun'.

I have the same problem with movies that I do with novels: thus, I love the concept of Star Wars, but storywise, I like Lucas's original story concepts far, far better than what he finally wrote into the movies. (Or moreso, what he allowed others to write or unwrite into them. I would have loved to see Vader and Palpatine fight Darth Bane and the Council of Seven, instead of what we got.) Movies I've liked include Das Boot, Master and Commander, The Promise, The Curse of the Golden Flower, The Duellists, Seven Samurai, and Princess Mononoke (though I do despise As**taka).

I don't do television. I've watched a few series on Netflix more or less because my (ex-)wife wanted a viewing companion, and I actually really enjoyed Dark. Stranger Things was decent too. I'd probably never think to watch anything, left to my own devices, though.

I'm a gamer, sort of. Which is to say, hypothetically, I like video games, be they strategy, Real-Time Tactics (but *not* Real Time Strategy; I hate the nonsensical factory management and resource gathering, which completely dispels any immersion), and RPGs and other first-person combat games; in actual practise, I spend far more time modding games than actually playing them, because I know far too much about the underlying real-world mechanics, and my perfectionist tendencies desire immersive simulation, rather than just 'a game.' I do manage to enjoy playing Mount and Blade, thanks to a pretty decent underlying armour system and an extensive modding community. I also play the pen-and-paper variety of RPGs, though as you can probably imagine from the preceding, hardy ever with the rules-as-written. I also play boardgames of many kinds, and tabletop wargames.

*What I'm Looking For:*

A shieldmaiden and seidkona who just happens to enjoy being tied up and playing sub/slave in a purely sexual context, but is otherwise wild, untamed and frowns on gender roles as much as I do. And, one who is actively interested in threesomes with other women, be they a permanent poly partner or temporary playmate or something in-between. It's actually irrelevant to me whether I get to put my hands on the other woman or not, so if you had or acquired a lover who was herself purely lesbian, that would be just fine, for example. I remember past lives, and the only way I can once again experience inhabiting a female body is vicariously, which is where you would come into the equation.

In my ideal, a lover is also a best friend, so someone with common interests and a compatible world-view. Thus, someone who is aware of more to the Universe than a stale materialism; a fellow psychonaut who wishes to explore and expand the frontiers of consciousness and aspire to more than mere mortality. A martial arts practice partner who could survive the the collapse of civilisation with me. (The aspiration to martial skill is good enough; I can teach you what I know, and then we can study together from there.)
