I'm not sure why it's only just occurred to me that I'm kind of alternative and that alternative dating sites might be the way to go, unless it's a fear of ghettoisation (is that a word? If it is, have I spelled it right?).
Anyway, I'm a freelance writer and sometimes busker (depending on how well the freelancing is going) and also do stand up, write songs, write books, blah blah, you get the drift.
I'm not sure what I'm looking for. Probably niceness, first and foremost. For all that I dress like I blew through a jumble sale in a hurricane, I'm not sure I'm all that alternative lifestyle-wise (polyamory? Not for me. ****? Ick. sexual roleplaying? Erm...nope) although maybe I am and dating websites are a particular kind of leftfield.
I like lo fi, post rock, grungey sort of music as a touchstone, but also like off-centre modern jazz (Troyka, The Bad Plus), quite a lot of sixties pop, folk-rock (Steelete Span were my childhood soundtrack) and most metal.
Erm...I'm sure there's more I could say but I'll have to think of that later.
