The Goo Goo Dolls are an American rock band formed in 1986 in Buffalo, New York, by guitarist/vocalist John Rzeznik, bassist/vocalist Robby Takac, and drummer George Tutuska. The Band was Originally a Punk Band back in the 1980s and released "The Goo Goo Dolls (1987)" and "Jed (1989)". The Band switched Genre to Alternative Rock/Power Pop & Released "Hold Me Up (1990)", "Superstar Car Wash (1993)", and "A Boy Named Goo (1995)". Before the Release of "A Boy Named Goo (1995)", Founding Drummer George Tutuska got fired back in 1994 and got replaced by Mike Malinin. A Year After the Release of "A Boy Named Goo (1995)", The Band Filed a Lawsuit against Metal Blade Records over Unpaid Royalties through Album Sales and The Band also Accused the Label for Robbing the Band's Money. Right After the Band Won a Lawsuit against Metal Blade Records, the Band once again change Musical Style to More Adult-Alternative/Soft Rock approach starting off with "Dizzy Up the Girl (1998)". And In December 2013, Drummer Mike Malinin announced his Departure from the Band.
