I could give many reasons why I'm on a dating site, but the bottom line is I'm halfway through my life and I just want real companionship. The women where I live just don't get me, so I thought I would come here. Mind you, I have friends and family - but I want that relationship with a woman that really works. I was once told I was a great catch, but dating is really hard - so much that I have been discouraged enough to stop several times. I admit I'm picky, but at my age I have resolved to be more careful about what I want and who I date.
And now the practical facts... I'm an old school punk. I listen to Dead Can Dance, The Clash, Ramones, Social Distortion, The Replacements, Nine Inch Nails and a plethora of bands you may not even have heard of. I have been gainfully employed with the State of Pennsylvania for over a decade. I love to hike, but I have been waylaid due to back problems. I am a published illustrator. I like foreign and art-house films. I love sci-fi and tales of true hauntings (I guess this makes me a geek). I eat sushi, wine, pizza, Indian and Mexican food. I like kilts. I love my Mum and Dad. I'm a veteran. I read books. I have nice teeth. I'm not a dad but I am an uncle to my nephews and niece. I'm really tall - not skinny, but not fat, either. I have a tattoo and will be getting more. I like motorcycles and have my license, but has never had one. I like dogs.

I want someone who will go with me to concerts and do all the things that freak out the normal folk.
