Nerd. Musician. Film/music/literature enthusiast. Professional academic, most recently. Graduated from Stony Brook University with a duel Bachelor's degree in English and Philosophy. I spend more than a healthy amount of time reading books, dissecting their words, and writing about them in a never-ending stream of essays.
Feel free to send a message! A simple hey, what's up, or "how are you?" will suffice. Unlike most everyone else on this site, I don't demand, nor am I expecting to be blown away by one single e-message. So no pressure. Some of my wonderful interests include Agalloch, Carl Sagan, space, science-fiction, atheism, art, heavy metal, Lars Von Trier, tattoos, redheads, nihilism, The Twilight Zone, horror movies, introversion, Lord Of The Rings, beer and beards (on myself -- not on you).
In general I watch foreign/indie/artistic films of the sci-fi/horror/psycho-drama variety; I listen to metal and all of its subgenres, some ambient music, some post-rock, neo-folk, classical and noise; and I read a ton of depressing, dense, and atheistic literature (with a healthy dose of Stephen King for fun). Also, The Twilight Zone is the best television show ever to be aired. Futurama is in close second.
