Hellooooo thar
Nice to see you've stopped by, in exchange for your trouble I'll tell y'all a bit about myself...
Science is my reason to wake up in the mornings, it has been the only constant in this crazy life full of change! Currently I am undertaking a Master of Science degree in Tissue Engineering (no, not Kleenex and the like!) focusing my research interests in aberrant biochemical cross-talk between a particular type of bone cell and skeletal muscle cells in both disease and trauma, but I will only go into all of that if asked I am interested in organ regeneration and hope to culture my own organs in the lab someday to give back more to science than it has given to me, though that's an impossible feat!
My lifestyle is distinct and original: between sliding off to lectures, seminars or slogging it in the labs or over my PC I love swimming, walking, hiking, and getting as far away from carnage as possible. I possess a penchant for piercings (I have 9) and tattoos (only got one), though I'd still love more! I find travelling a bit of a cliche, and prefer staying rooted instead before making a careful decision to move on. I am lively and talkative, though it tends to come with the label 'opinionated' I prefer not to judge others and wait to get to know a person before making a mal-formed view of them. Debating is one of my favourite activities because it gives my old grey matter a bit of a workout and helps me to maintain a balanced outlook on life, which is hard to do when you fall into a highly specialised field that drills a type of mindset into you.
Most people love going out on the town all the time, but the reality is I prefer staying in with some vino, putting my feet up and giving myself stitches over random YouTube clips before falling into peaceful slumber. Bliss. My ideal companion would have at least an appreciation for science in general but not necessarily be involved in any way. Kind hearts melt my heart, if you do volunteer work then I'd love to know about it I shun so many ways of the modern western world and prefer to not even acknowledge the existence of the muppets that are broadcasted all around us. My ideal day would be having a long, long lie-in before going to a beautiful natural location to walk, swim in a lake or river, have a spliff or two over random banter whilst I set up a fire, and most definitely chat over the latest trends in scientific discoveries and revolutions. Then I'd finish off the night with hanging with a small number of close pals eating chocolate and watching some funny or horror films.
My family are extremely important to me but I like to keep things to myself, because we all enjoy a bit of me time If you're interested, then I look forward to your message. Hopefully I can live out that ideal day whilst getting to know one another.
Ciao! x
