Good evening and well-met! I am Tyler; twenty-five, male, pale European-mutt who is just shy of six foot. I am fairly well-adjusted, upcoming professional with a stable income. I style myself as this Southern-Gothic Gentleman.
I love getting dressed up a lot, dark suits and ties, but some days it might just be black jeans and a band-tee. I enjoy clubbing and hitting the town, just as much as I enjoy a quiet night home. I love coffee houses and book stores and roaming city streets late at night. I love life, I just appreciate the darker side of it more than most. I do enjoy paintball, sport shooting and hiking. I have dozens of small hobbies that I pick-up and put down at random.
I just moved to Charlottesville with work. I have a small place of my own in which I am attempting to work as a small homestead. I love the ideas of self-sufficiency, natural living and health and have been altering my lifestyle to this. I'm not the model of 'go-green' (I own two vehicles, both are V8s), but I do try to be a good steward of Mother Earth. I'm also a bit of a survivalist.
Music: I could go on for days, as music listening is a huge part of my day. I am absolutely enamored with old-school Goth Rock (Bauhaus, Sisters of Mercy, Nick Cave, Siouxsie, Fields of the Nephilim, etc) and dark shoegaze/dream pop (Autumn's Grey Solace, All My Faith Lost..., Dead Can Dance, Cocteau Twins, Lux Interna, Unto Ashes), but I am in no means limited to just those genres. I listen to folk music (Loreena McKennitt), metal (mostly folk and symphonic), old and new industrial (Front 242, Minisry, NIN). I love fusion acts like Emilie Autumn, The Birthday Massacre, and some future pop groups like VNV and, APB, A23. Even mainstream, current groups like Mumford & Sons and The Civil Wars make it onto my iPod. On a really random occasion, I may be blasting late-90s/early-00s hip-hop. I'm picky about music, but not limited. I love music, end of story.
So, that's me! I'm looking for all kind of relationships. Friends, casual dating, maybe something serious? I don't know. I like meeting people, getting to know them, learning what makes them tick, what interest them. I am straight, but I do enjoy meeting other guys in a platonic setting if we share interest.
