The "about me" is always the hardest part, isn't it? Anyway, I'll give it a crack:
- a little worried about the state of our planet, ecologically, geo-politically, economically, sociologically and in every other way...
- passionate runner (circumvented the globe - in intervals - 5 years ago)
- still believe (even though it really is a cliche by now) that love is the answer
- working with a great team of folks to make a decisive difference (details upon request)
- after divorcing 5 years ago, tired of waking up by myself (volunteers?)
- lived in 12 counties, raised 5 great kids on the run
- got a few hobbies: running (as stated above), scuba diving, biking, enjoying listening to music - occasionally performing it myself, indulging in RV'ing, reading, watching good & meaningful movies (not too many these days), making firends of all nations - and lots more stuff
- I hate: shopping, nagging, negativity, the way the world is going, "Shallow Hal's", dishonesty, conformity, hypocrisy, compromise, comparing, materialism, main stream media, "entertainment", paying taxes, etc...
I guess this is good for starters, might add a few things...
P.S. Basically, I believe in to "each his/her own" - believe what you want - as long as you don't hurt anybody. That said, I uploaded this profile, because for me "alternative" has always meant: thinking, caring, volunteering, moving, shaking and making a difference. I wouldn't necessarily include: football, vampires, gothic, emo, wrestling, etc... Get my drift? Sorry, I didn't mean to offend - just don't contact me if you are of any of these, or similar, persuasions, OK? I believe there are plenty others around to chat with... That said, I realize of course that I'm generalizing and marginalizing here - both not very high on the popularity ladder... I'm sure there are cool individuals inside these above mentioned groups - granted! Personally, sorry, I just met real dopes... Convince me otherwise...
