About MeI am a fan of many different kinds of music, but I suppose it's mainly Indie, both old (eg.Only Ones, Joy Division, Pogues ) and new, (Eg. Glasvegas, Zutons, Fratellis, White Stripes etc.). Also like loads of other stuff; from Janis Joplin, Adam + the Ants, Smiths/Morrissey, Fall, Buzzc**ks, Razorlight, Nile, Television Personalities, Camera Obscura, Teenage Fanclub, Frantic Elevators, Slipknot, Queen, to Vera Lynn!; almost anything goes as long as it's good!!. Vinyl fan. I enjoy staying up listening to records, drinking, singing, karaoke [prefereably with similar company!], and talking, late-ish if possible, at weekends!. I have a silly sense of humour. I think am down to earth and non-judgemental. I also am interested in palaeontology and Egyptology, paranormal, think I believe in reincarnation, like good films, being a bit daft + loads of other stuff!. I am a bit so-called alternative but not a radical type. I would like to meet a similarly somewhat alternative woman who enjoyed similar things and has a non-judgemental, personality + zany humour. I find natural (unshaven and undeodourized) women attractive . I prefer a voluptuous figure, though this is not essential. I have five children by the same ex-partner (We separated, entirely amicably, on grounds of compatibility despite having stayed together for the children for 20 years!). I enjoy pubs, having a laugh with friends, and being with the kids. I find anger difficult to deal with unless it's clearly justified. I think I am conscientious, caring, + would like someone to appreciate me without too much criticism, and they would get the same respect and love back. I am an emotional person, with my emotions going all over the place at times, lol, like someone out of a Buzzc**ks song - not mad and certainly not an angry/offensive type, but laid back - but I do have feelings!).

Slight, or maybe not-so slight, Drunkenness at a weekend evening is the stuff of dreams!.

I can't live too far from here as I have the kids round at least two nights a week, and many other times besides; I won't leave them.

On the "heritage" bit I buck the trend in favouring British identity - more inclusive than nationalistic English/Welsh, etc.. We're all British, whatever ethnic background.

I have no idea how to put a photograph onto this thing, but could probably manage to do so, [maybe with your Dennis Nedry style computer-guidance help], if requested by the right type of person!. STOP PRESS!. I've just put some scary photos on here. [Daft pics holding flowers Morrissey-style but without the charisma to carry it off, but at least they're Silly, which is a Very Good Thing!]. Therefore you can all now say "Zoinks, Scoobs, I'm off!".

I hate anger and bad feeling. I can not do bad feeling, it's my first rule, I suppose. Never let any bad feeling persist. I also hate cruelty to any person or any living creature. Yes that does mean I don't swat flies or squash spiders, too, so if you do, or if you deliberately hurt someone else's feelings for no reason other than arrogance or bigotry, then we don't have enough in common, o.k.. What goes around comes around!.

Where I'm from, etc.:- I really don't give a stuff about this. I'm half English half Irish both by birth and adoption. [I was a proper '60s love child - a Diana Ross and the Supremes job!]. I have lived in Britain all my life. Born in sussex, lived in Middles*x and Newport, Mon., and various places. I am totally open-minded and accept people from anywhere - it all means now't to me. I hate petty nationalism + racism.

Religion_:-
I think I believe in re-incarnation, and do have some spiritual beliefs. I am open-minded about a lot of the paranormal stuff, believing in quite a bit of it. I am opposed to religious fundamentalism of any kind, and am proud that we are a Secular country. I disagree strongly with Humanism, too by the way!. I do like the Ancient Egyptian religion and some other ancient Pagan ones.

Politics:
Centre-left would cover my views on social issues. I have always had Green leanings too. Although I am generally centre or left of centre, I am not anything on the extremes, and, for example, am a monarchist, not a republican. I despise the E.U. and their imposition of compulsory metrication. Pounds and ounces forever, and Mine's a Pint!. I'm open-minded so get on fine with people whose vie

Languages Spoken:
I can read some Egyptian Heiroglyphs, at a basic level, but that's about it as far as languages go.

Musical Instruments played:-
I play the Record-Player very well indeed.

Music Enjoyed:-
I like the above stuff, and loads of other stuff. Very varied. Trains to Brazil - Guillemots is great. I love the slow Arctic Monkeys songs, esp. Despair In The Departure Lounge, and The Bakery. Love Dusty In Memphis l.p. by, well, you've guessed it, Dusty Springfield lol!. Loads of Indie. Also Bay City Rollers, Glam rock and the Wombles feature in my collection, lol!.

Sports and exercise:-
I'm sorry, but I don't wish to offend anyone, but my favourite quote about sport is that "Sport is for people who are clever enough to grasp the rules, but stupid enough to think it matters!". I do like ice skating but don't go very often. Activity is fine, such as climbing trees when I was in school, but as soon as someone tells me it's sport, I'm turned off!.... Extreme ironing looks fun, mind.

Animals and Pets:-
I like mice, gnat + mosquito larvae, wrigglers, and lots of other creatures. The only problem is that a lot of the ones I like best are, apparrently or alledgedly, extinct, not that that would stop a really determined cryptozoologist from looking for them, of course!. Now pleisiosaurs in Loch Ness, that really would be something!.

Newspapers and magazines:
It all depends on what others have left on the train, in reality!.

Books:-
Factual books, about things like Egyptology, palaeontology, etc.. 1984 was and still is one of my favourite non-factual books, as is the Tale of Mrs. Tittlemouse.

Favourite Films:
Jurassic Park + sequels, Jaws, Alien + sequels, monster movies generally. Horrors too, Omen etc. Green Mile, The Downfall, The Curse of the Were Rabbit, Control, Gandhi, Escape from the Dark (a weepy), Some of the old B+W ones, Notting Hill + some similar romantic comedies. Also loads of other things too. I don't watch much television, but I do like Dr. Who and Torchwood.

Food:- Whatever's vegetarian and nice!. An Indian is generally preferred!. I also like lasagne (vegetarian), dhal, and lentil roast (can't beat lentils!).

Ideal Holiday:
Egypt to see the ancient stuff. Mostly I go to places in Britain, and am happy with that, or other stuff.

First Date:- Be Silly!.

In another life (lol):-
Cleopatra, Elizabeth I, Gandhi, Me again!, a cat, a dolphin, an artist, a film director, a musician, and an Egyptian Pharaoh, of course. I believe in re-incarnation but doubt I was many of these, I may have been a Village Idiot though, lol!.
