I have a potty mouth, a sometimes crude/raunchy sense of humor. Stupid s**t makes me laugh and sometimes I have no filter 😅 So my apologies beforehand. BUT I will say this- I take my friendships, relationships with close family, and when with a partner seriously. I value the people and friends in my life. There's a term I use-"Few, but true." I'm that type of person if someone calls me late at night because there's an emergency, I don't hesitate to offer my hand when I can.
I'm on here just looking for friends, since I plan to travel more and want to eventually move out of state. I like to know how the scene is other places, what are the best clubs, Music venues, festivals, horror cons/, comic cons, or even outdoorsy places to go. It seems a lot of us were once on VF, not sure what other "goth" or alternative social media sites exist anymore.
Anyways, I love to dance and go out dancing when time permits. Retro night, New wave night/Dark wave night, our local "goth nights" in my area, local shows, etc. I'm a huge music junkie, I listen to so many genres, but of course my heart resides with bands I discovered in my pre-teen/Teen years that led me into the subculture. I was born in '93 so none of the kids at my school were listening to the good ol' stuff at the time. Plus I used to always hang around older people (still do-most of my friends are in their 40s haha) : Fields of Nephilim, Diva Destruction, Faith and the Museum, Strange Boutique, Bauhaus, Switchblade Symphony, Christian Death (specifically Rozz Williams era of Christian Death) Sisters of Mercy, lots of industrial as well (holy s**te, who remembers Vampirefreaks, and the other old sites? 😜 Gothic inside still exists btw. But 0 people online anymore... Ha!) Wumpscut, Clan of Xymox, Suspiria.
I hike on the weekends, the furthest I've visited in NY state.. Unfortunately, I DIDN'T get to check out Duff's Metal bar the times I was out there, Or sleepy Hollow in Tarrytown. I did briefly pass by the Amityville house, if that counts??! 😜
Conspiracies, Unsolved mysteries, Cryptids, etc all fascinate me. I can talk for hours about that stuff.
