I’m a grown-up nerd looking for someone to spend time with who appreciates the good things life has to offer; is open to trying new things: and likes me for who I am. I have an unusual sense of humor, in large part because I grew up during peak Simpsons in the mid-to-late ‘90s.
I read a lot and I like going to the movies more than almost anything. (And I like talking about both things, as well.)
After a period of time working for a lobbying firm in my twenties, I landed as a school teacher and I wouldn’t take back that decision for anything in the world. Like a lot of people who find themselves a bit late in life, I find myself working to prove that I’m actually good at my job although I’ve been teaching for almost fourteen years now.
A good sense of humor is generally the trait I appreciate the most in others because I think it demonstrates a high level of intelligence. But the ability to laugh at one’s own shortcomings is a truly priceless thing which demonstrates a great deal of maturity.
