I hope no one minds reading a long bio, but I need to be as descriptive of myself as possible.
Subculture:
I’m a mall goth. For those who are unfamiliar with mall goths, a mall goth is someone who participates in ‘90s-2000s culture, and listens to nu-metal (Korn, Slipknot, Deftones, Limp Bizkit, etc). The name ‘mall goth’ comes from the obsession with hanging out in malls, and shopping at places like Hot Topic, Spencer’s, etc. Mall goths are known for dressing goth for the fashion, not for the subculture itself. Mall goths were popular in the ‘90s-2000s, but they started declining in popularity, as nu-metal started to become irrelevant around 2003.
Personality:
Shy, quiet, and very laidback. I’m pretty much the strong silent type, but I am sociable around the right people. Other than my social skills, I’m kind, caring, and motherly (I know I’m a man, but I do seem to have some motherly tendencies).
Side note: I’m on the autism spectrum, so I may come off as weird sometimes. I don’t mask my autism, I just prefer to go with the flow.
Likes:
Music (mostly ‘90s-2000s rock and metal, especially nu-metal), physical media (CDs, DVDs, cassette tapes, etc), bugs and insects (my favorites are beetles, mantids, moths, and spiders), the Y2K era, alt fashion, the mall goth subculture, the outdoors (I’m from the countryside), the night, video games (my favorite series are Hotline Miami and Saints Row), 6th generation games (PS2 especially).
Dislikes: Modern music, trends, cities, social media (I have some social media, but only because of family).
Hobbies: I don’t seem to have much hobbies, but one hobby I do have is collecting CDs. I have a small CD rack with about 30+ CDS. I’ve been collecting CDs since November of last year, and my collection is expanding rapidly.
What I’m looking for:
I’m looking for a boyfriend who’s got the same interests as me. I want a partner who’s stuck in the 2000s like me, and wants to relive those days together. I’m looking for a dominant partner as well. Living in Virginia is preferable, but maybe I can make an exception, depending on how close you are.
