I'm into science (day job) and art (spare time). I'm looking to reach out and make some connections with interesting people in Bristol or the South West. Probably due to my autism (?) I tend toward self-reliance but sometimes you just gotta have friends, you know? So I'm here.
I like to: explore forgotten bits of the country, make art & short film, kayak, do anything trad goth. Try new things. I like to do actual tasks/projects - no matter how crazy. 'Hanging out' isn't really my thing because I don't really understand what it is. I hope that makes sense?
My 'projects' this year have ranged from helping my 93 year old neighbor to become a yarn bomber and leaving faux fairy skeletons in the forest for people to find and be confused by.
Things I'm in to: trad goth music (if I were stuck with 3 choices I'd go with Bauhaus, Siouxsie and the Cure with apologies to alien sex fiend, Dead Can Dance and Daniel Dax), folk horror movies & TV, hauntology, ancient rituals & customs, forests at night, ruins & standing stones, urbex and green energy.
Things I'm not into: the right wing (still not convinced by the whole Capitalism thing TBH), climate denial, shopping malls, football, conformity.
If any of this makes you want to say 'hello', please do.
