Hello, I am... Well, I'm not quite sure what I am. Though I do currently find myself inhabiting the carbon based lifeform colloquially known as Michael (pictured above). Anyways, here's a little about myself...
I am mostly non-materialistic, choosing experiences over things. I get bored with routine fairly quickly though I understand the benefit of some daily routine in life, and I enjoy having meditation and exercise as a part of mine. Despite my enjoyment of new experiences I also like spending time at home. I suppose I'm just trying to find some balance between comfort and adventure.
My last trip was to Playa del Carmen, Mexico and I received my PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certification there. It truly was an amazing experience, and I look forward to getting back in the water as soon as possible. 🙂
I enjoy socializing, but I admit I am not the most social individual. A bit on the quiet observant side, I tend to get stuck in my own head. I appreciate a good conversation, especially one about topics people are passionate about, and I feel like I am a pretty good listener too. I also tend to say exactly what is on my mind, which I am aware can come off as blunt at times. Though, I would appreciate the same in return.
I'm pretty awkward and nerdy as well, lol. I enjoy video games, board games, TTRPG's, renaissance faires, sci-fi and fantasy. I appreciate all things dark and macabre, and I like my humor dry and sarcastic.
I am infinitely curious and have a passion for learning new things; you can always find me down some rabbit hole. From the esoteric to the mundane I am forever at the whim of my insatiable curiosity.
I consider myself spiritual though I am not adherent to any one religion. I'm pretty eclectic with my spirituality. I enjoy studying religions and adopting the commonalities between them rather then focusing on what separates them.
I hope my wanderlust takes me to every corner of the world until I eventually settle down and buy some land. Living a life semi-off grid while providing for myself as much as possible by gardening, raising some animals and homesteading. Preferably somewhere secluded where I can see the stars at night and a forest is my backyard.
I would like to meet someone who is honest and compassionate with others and themself. Someone who is spiritual in one form or another, and an avid seeker to learn and grow individually as well as through our relationship. Both of us sharing a desire to support one another as we work towards our goals, whatever they may be. An adventurous spirit who is open-minded but not so much so that their brain falls out. It's fun to let it fly away at times (I am guilty of that), but it's important to remain grounded and balanced.
