My name is Rich.
In a nutshell, I'm pretty much someone who enjoys the strange and unusual things about people and the world. Don't worry, I'm not going to ask you to put the lotion in the basket.
A friend once told me that my personality is very eccentric. They never knew what was going to come out of my mouth next. I enjoy piercings, tattoos, and underground music. I have a few piercings myself (just in my ears), tattoos will most likely come later.
Good conversation is something I live for. I have a very inquisitive nature and enjoy learning about others or about things in general. My favorite type of conversations are the deep and/or philosophical ones that make you think outside the box or in a way you never felt possible, thus I have been told I am very open minded.
I tend to have a big imagination, but most of the time when I'm not making people laugh or joking around, I am a pretty deep thinker, a realist with a bit of a spiritual side (not in a religious sense).
Just a note: You may notice I don't have a car. The reason is because of my eyesight. I am legally blind. I can see, just not enough to drive. I get around mostly using public transportation.

I love History. I enjoy learning about ancient cultures, religions and different periods in world history. I also have a fascination with Norse and Egyptian Mythology, the paranormal, urban legends, and myths.
I want travel and see the world. I have been all over the East Coast and to the Southern Caribbean. I enjoy visiting museums, supposedly haunted places, and nature-made landmarks. I've been to the PA Renn Faire, Eastern State Penitentiary, Crystal Caves, the Holocaust Museum in D.C., and the Philadelphia Museum of Art. I would love to visit Waverly Hills Sanitarium which was featured in an episode of Ghost Hunters.
I love to draw. It consists mostly of fan art or characters I make up in my own style of Japanese anime. I also enjoy the occasional painting (landscapes and failing at still life), photography, and pixel animation.
I'm a gamer. Video games are a good way to relax and have fun, but I know when to put the controller down. My favorite genres are RPG, Survival Horror, and FPS.
I also love taking time out of any day to hang out with my two year old niece, Alexia.

I love industrial, electronica, futurepop, synthpop, and metal. My favorite artists to listen to are Assemblage 23 and VNV Nation. Some of my other favorites are Neuroticfish, Lost Signal, Code 64, Angels & Agony, Rammstein, Megaherz, Oomph!, E-Nomine, Agonoize, Suicide Commando, Colony 5, Grendel, Unheilig, and Mind in a Box. About 25% of my music is in German. I absolutely love the language.
I love Disturbed. Others I like are Orgy, Breaking Benjamin and Linkin Park (old stuff). Classic rock like Billy Joel, Rod Stewart, but I also like Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne.
In laymen's terms? I like rock/metal and "amazingly loud techno with German/English lyrics".

My favorite author is Stephen King. Some of my favorites are: IT, Carrie, Pet Sematery, The Shawshank Redemption, The Body (Stand By Me), Apt Pupil, and The Shining.
Of Mice & Men and The Catcher in the Rye are two of my favorites. I read The Giver in middle school it was and still is one of my favorites. I also enjoy reading true crime books.
I do read comics. My favorite is Johnny the Homicidal Maniac and spin offs of that by Jhonen Vasquez. If you have no clue who or what JTHM is. Jhonen Vasquez produced Invader Zim which aired on Nickelodeon (and was sadly cancelled). I also like the Lenore series by Roman Dirge.

I absolutely love the horror genre. Old school slasher films from the 1980s are what I grew up watching. My favorite being the Nightmare on Elm Street series. I also enjoy comedy, WWII movies, action movies and stand up comedians.
My favorite horror/suspense movies list is far too long. Some of my other favorites are Saving Private Ryan, The Boondock Saints, Blade, Taken, One Hour Photo, The Crow, Underworld, The Transporter, American History X, Schindler's List. Downfall, Tommy Boy, Inglorious Basterds, Liar Liar, Ace Ventura and 40 Year Old Virgin.
I don't watch much TV, but anything on the Discovery Channel, History Channel, Investigation, TruTV, or Spike is what I mainly watch. To name a few favorites, I love CSI: Las Vegas, Family Guy, The Walking Dead, Ghost Hunters, and A Haunting. Rocko's Modern Life is still my favorite from my childhood. I was a 90s kid and probably one of many who miss old school Nickelodeon.
I like anime but I'm not obsessed with it. I mostly love the art style. I am pretty picky with my anime and tend to enjoy darker horror/gore or paranormal themed anime. My favorite anime is Elfen Lied. I also love Chobits. Helsing is also pretty cool. If you know of any feel free to recommend it.

Why I'm here?
Let me just put everything right on the table and be honest.
I would like to start off slow with dating/friendship and see what happens. If we click then that's awesome. I'm not in any rush to get into a relationship, but I am open to the idea if I meet the right person. I'm the kind of guy that just likes to let things fall into place, for the most part.
Someone who can keep a good conversation going who is open-minded, honest, caring, and has a good sense of humor. Bonus points if you are into some or all of these: art, video games, anime, horror movies, zombies, tattoos, piercings, similar music, or if you happen to wear glasses, I find them so cute.
