My name is Dave, my friends call me Viking Dave.
I listen to a variety of metal, I could list bands but there are just too many. So just to list a few of my favourites: Amon Amarth, Insomnium, Ensiferum, Wolfheart… etc, the list goes on and on.
Bands I’ve seen live include Amon Amarth, Insomnium, Wolfheart, In Flames, Belphegor, Alestorm, Cradle of Filth, Dragonforce, Gloryhammer, Korpiklaani, Paradise Lost, Arch Enemy, Sabaton, Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Testament, Hypocrisy… etc.
I’ve never been to a festival, as I’ve never really had friends with the same tastes willing to fork out the money to come along.
I am a gamer, of the PC variety, and spend a lot of time gaming. World of Warcraft, Baldur's Gate 3, Skyrim, The Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Dark Souls 3, Diablo… Getting into VR now too!
Anything fantasy is of interest to me, in any form, games, films, series, books, etc. Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Witcher, Game of Thrones, The Wheel of Time, The Elder Scrolls…
Really enjoy a good long D&D session, still getting into it but it is always a good time!
I don’t get out as much as I’d like, I love going to see a band live, we get a few good shows in Southampton too, but I occasionally travel to London, if the band is worth the trip!
I am a bit of a drinker, though only really when I go out, which isn’t that often. Drink of choice is mead, but as nowhere sells it, I usually drink ales or rum.
I enjoy colder weather, and the scenery that comes with it, snow, pines, mountains...
I’m the owner of a small army of fire bellied toads and a bearded dragon.
I’m a quiet fellow, until you get to know me, or get me drunk. I don’t shut up when I’m drunk apparently!
I speak fluent Spanish. (Long story behind that!)
