Anarchist (Anarchism not Anarchy). Pessimist. Republican (the opposite of a monarchist, not the right wing US party). Egalitarian. Hyperpolyglot. Engineer. Professional hacker. Ridiculously intelligent. Amazingly stupid. Ex professional gamer. 99% tea.
I am not overly fond of people and can often come off as being distant and aloof. Despite this I am generally approachable and I won't bite your head off for saying hi. I do have a tendency to see a message, text, email etc and tell myself I'll reply later and forget to do it for a while...
I'm an engineer, I write code (mostly Python, C and Lua), sling multiple 10**12 bits over the internet every second, and break in to s**t. I occasionally write about technical stuff.
I listen to Post/Sludge, Blackgaze, Prog Metal, Death, and Doom mostly, alongside a massive amount of Vaporwave and Retrowave with some Chiptunes sprinkled on top. I am also quite fond of classical music, especially solo piano, I often listen to solo piano or instrumental post-metal while relaxing and reading of an evening.
Fun facts:
* I am an Anomalous Trichromat (a type of red-green colour blindness).
* I also have the photic sneeze reflex.
* I consume books and audiobooks at a pretty insane rate (my favourite is Altered Carbon, although the tv series is shockingly poor).
* I am something of a motorsport fan. I watch every 24 Hour of Le Mans race, as well as the other WEC events and tend to watch most if not all F1 races too.
* Linkin Park's Hybrid Theory is a guilty pleasure of mine. I got it on CD when it came out and have listened to it from time to time ever since. I also quite like Meteora.
* I am not on social media.
Dislikes:
* Right wingers, racists, homophobes, misogynists - basically bigots of all of kinds
* Antivaxxers and other psuedo-science bulls**t like "alternative medicine" and flat Earth wierdos
* Religion of any kind, this includes people who for some reason think they're witches, also see above. I get people want religion, what I don't get is why and the need to tell others about it or convince them to join your religion. The universe is interesting, marvel at the discoveries, don't try to explain it away with magic sky people. In general most anarchists see organised religion as an oppressive system of control.
