Gentle, tender, laid-back, low maintenance, low stress, high libido - that's me. A derpy awkward woman with a love of getting crossfaded, playing video games (CoD, Final Fantasy, Assassin's Creed, Second Life, MMOs selectively), reading novels (fantasy and sci-fi), watching anime (Ajin, Attack on Titan, etc - and anything hentai), theme park rides, fishing, camping, hiking, vaping, sociology, casual civil discourse RE: politics and public policy, volunteering, and finding decent p**n (not into scat). If I had to describe my style of dress, it's somewhere between hippie and goth, depending on my mood and whether I think I'll have to do many "adulty" things that day.
I'm not pretty (and I'm sorry, I've never been interested in learning to apply makeup). I was never asked to choose my face, or felt capable of getting it surgically improved. Sometimes it gets me down and I struggle to remember the positives. My car is paid off. I've been on a two-year streak of slow and steady weight loss, mainly from hackey-sacking. I've only got a few semesters of college left before I graduate with a flexible English degree. (Sociology minor's already satisfied.)
I'm utterly new to Colorado, so I'm taking a break from classes to get established. Part of that means networking - and finding a more lucrative job. Since it's pertinent here, I miss Sirius radio. I loved Octane. I'll listen to nearly any music (from Loreena McKennitt to Infected Mushroom to video game soundtrack remixes), but I generally prefer rock and metal styles. Disturbed, Hellyeah, and Starset are among my recent top favorites. Apparently, I'm also on a Trapt / Billy Talent / Breaking Benjamin kick, according to my YouTube history. Country and gospel don't really make it on my playlists.
I'm here to socialize, discover new (to me) music artists, and, with luck, make some actual friends (okay, maybe more than that, but that's not "the" goal for me). I just think that's the best place to start. I've had a weird past and I'm thoroughly done with drama; life is too short to make it more complicated than necessary. So if you think we could chat a bit, hit me up. Connecting to other humans, however briefly - sharing some kind of understanding - that's more precious to me than possessions. I know... I'm a little strange.
