Northern Italian by birth and have lived all over the globe, academic (science), amateur musician, a free range human living in Media PA.
I enjoy being around creative people with quick wits and humorous banter. I grew up a punk rock kid who like Milo went to college, and morphed into an academic scientist/professor, but I retain "that attitude". Most would agree that I am a free independent thinker whose main interest is getting to the bottom of an issue, while having a good time doing it. Leave the ego and I.D. at the door. I prefer simplicity in life and always seek the simplest solution to a problem. I have no great attachment to material items. I focus on needs and a few toys (guitars, drums, computers, etc). Items that are non-starters are belonging to an organized monotheistic religion (Judaism excluded) and watching people play with balls.
I am searching for a member of my "tribe". Someone with whom I share a neurotype. If you happen to be considered to be well off the mean of the population in multiple psychological/cognitive traits... well, my interests are piqued.
I have never had doubts about who I am and I fit best with like minded people; someone who is independent, witty, professional and punctual but ready to enter the mosh pit, has few self imposed limitations (and even fewer imposed by others) and would agree that the only rules in life are (1) do not murder, (2) do not steal, (3) do not torture/harm, (4) speak the truth, and (5) help others when you can. Basically, follow the golden rule and all else is up for discussion. I will not set rules for you and I do not respond well to having rules set for me unless mutually agreed upon. If this sounds like you, then you may sound like me, in which case I am interested. ... and I am an introvert, thus introverts are welcomed. If your idea of fun is hours spent in the company of many people you do not know well, you might have to scrape me off the floor after about an hour of that.
Please do not read into the above that I have no interest in non-self. Quite the opposite, I find others overall fascinating, even if they are fascinating because they never left their home town or picked up a book.
The long winded way of saying have your s%^t together but be able to rock out.
I am affectionate and tactile and enjoy reciprocity. PDAs are part of my culture.
After some initial textual back and forth establishing a basic affinity, we should meet to basically just hang out. If there is a relationship to develop that is what we would be doing anyhow right? here and there and everywhere; at home, in Rome, while reading a tome. Do we hang out well? let's find out.
Let's consider the scenarios, let's be romantic impresarios. Maybe meet in the morning and bounce from place to place like a misplaced ping pong ball. If we make it to the eve, then let's go to a concert or dance hall. If along the way we fall, then that be it all.... ok., too much rhyming, but you get the idea. Having said that, an alternative scenario with more structure is certainly a skeleton we could hang some meat upon.
I do enjoy finding out people's limits sooner than later. I have few limits and do not know the meaning of being "offended". I do not seek to offend, but I tend to head fearlessly into whatever territory my mind wishes to wonder upon. No thought should be left unexplored, exploration is fun.
Having said that, I have my physical limits. NO sky diving! NO bungee jumping! for me anyhow. But if you want me to watch you risk splattering upon the planet's crust, I'll accommodate.
What I like to do is playing in bands, biking, seeing music live, exploring restaurants, being an unusual type of ape, stealing people's mail - not the last, which is however the last reference to punk rock herein.
I am divorced from my lesbian wife of 18 years, and that is not a typo, with two children (5 and 10, M and F respectively) for whom I have shared custody. My former partner and I have no drama it's all clear and clean, we are as had been through most of the marriage good friends.
I am one of those 50 yr olds that gets mis-aged as mid 30s, I am neotenic in body and mind. The picture of me playing is from 2008 the rest are recent.
