I am a sci-fi nerd, an appreciator of all things British, a HUGE film and music buff, a voracious gormandizer (look it up ^_^) of literature, a poet, an artist, and somewhat of a musician (though I've become nightmarishly out of practice).
As far as television is concerned I preoccupy myself with The X files, The Mighty Boosh, Red Dwarf & Monk as well as many other shows of their like.
With bands my utmost favorites are The Killers, The Cure and Depeche Mode. I've loved David Bowie ever since my first viewing of Labyrinth at age 6. Ian Curtis and Joe Strummer are my deceased rock stars. My musical alliegences predominantly lie in the alternative, punk, metal and 80's genres but I'll give anything a listen.
Theatrically, my favorites are V for Vendetta, Silence of the Lambs, A Clockwork Orange and The Crow. My movie collection comprises predominantly of horrors (both classic and contemporary), comedies, and Scifi/ Fantasy. Most of my films are of an older lot. I'm not big on romantic films or chick flicks but I have been known to view the occasional Romantic Comedy if it's done properly. My favorite actor of all time is Vincent Price he's a legend and is deeply missed. I'm also quite partial to John Cusack and Johnny Depp. I've been one of the biggest supporters of the work of Tim Burton ever since I can remember. I'm also big on the theatrical stylings of Quentin Tarantino, John Hughes (may he rest in peace), Wes Craven, John Carpenter and Roger Corman. My favorite actresses are Helena Bonham Carter and Natalie Portman.
My favorite authors are Albert Camus, Anne Rice, George Orwell, Lewis Carroll and most importantly Edgar Allan Poe. As far as poetry goes, Poe, Keats, Shelley, Carroll and Byron are my go-to's but there are very few poets I honestly dislike.
Stylistically, I prefer clothing of the steampunk,punk and gothic persuasion. My wardrobe is populated by trenchcoats ( and other various jackets), corsetry, combat boots, interesting tights, converses, and the like. I draw inspiration in the fashion department from most of the musical artists I listen to (both male and female equally) but most often, Amy Lee, Helena Bonham Carter, Siouxsie Sioux and Joan Jett as well as the Victiorian Era and the work of Tim Burton. I personally identify as both punk and gothic.
My religious alliegences lie with no organised religion as I do not believe in it. I do not accept or deny the existance of a God. My morality is deliniated by treating people with the respect I would have them give me unless they prove to not be worthy of it. I live my life in the defence of mother nature and all her inhabitants. You could say that nature is my religion (or as close to religion as my beliefs get).
Politically, My views coincide with The Peace and Freedom Party and the Libertarian party but I choose to represent myself as an anarchist. When it comes to registering with a party I will choose that of an Independent.
As far as dating goes, I'm not too picky. I just want someone who shares my interests and outlook.
