I've lived all over the country, but originally hail from Kentucky. I spent many years bouncing from place to place, but spent the majority of that time in Chicago and Memphis. Now I'm in the Central Valley (Modesto), but may move to a larger city.
I'm into the Industrial/Goth and Synthpop/Futurepop scene, and have flown to many festivals in the US and Canada. I can be seen every now and then going to a Goth night in Sacramento or the Bay, although my daytime appearance doesn't show it. I grew up on Jane's Addiction, NIN, Skinny Puppy, Frontline Assembly, Leather Strip, Sister of Mercy, and KMFDM, but these days my favorites gravitate to 3TEETH, VNV Nation, Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, Youth Code, Seabound, and 80's New Wave. Also into sci/fi, fantasy, graphic novels, British television, science podcasts (Radiolab), and activism.
I work in Telecommunications, for a company loathed by many. When I'm not working, I like to make music, paint, or charcoals, and I enjoy kicking back and watching movies or TV. I keep a stack of books next to the bed that I read from every night. During the summer I like going rock climbing or to the zoo or just hiking. I currently referee for a few local derby teams (WFTDA and USARS), and I also volunteer mentoring foster kids transitioning to adulthood (Hope Project Mentoring). I am a member of a known SF Based band, and play guitar/conga/violin/keyboards for them.
If you think gays shouldn't marry, that gender identity is an illness, that certain races are superior or should remain separate, or that we should ban the entry of people of particular ethnic or religious backgrounds WE HAVE NOTHING FURTHER TO DISCUSS. Seriously. TAKE A HIKE.
