'Semi retired' old school punk/biker, still go to gigs and festivals [esp abroad] when I can,. But I'm also a single parent with a young daughter who's a very big part of my life and lives with me most weekends. I'm the deputy coordinator of a team that supports homeless people with mental health issues in Leeds. I'm originally from Reading but have lived in Leeds for past 18 years and have travelled extensively in Europe and the UK. I'm a long time vegetarian, agnostic, politically left wing and broad minded. [I've got no time whatsoever for narrow minded bigots so don't even bother]. I like a drink but can take it or leave it and am an ex smoker.
Musical tastes range from punk, dub reggae, thrash metal and crossover, hard and stoner rock, but punk is the 'mothership', my community and is still a big influence on me. I've played guitar and bass in a few bands - and am in process of taking up guitar again.
I'm also into cinema, Sci fi, motorbikes, archaeology and Scandinavian crime noir, I like a lot of 'dark' comedy, 'The League of gentlemen', Rick and Morty, Stewart Lee, Frankie Boyle that sort of stuff.....
I value a sense of humour and intelligence over looks [but they are a bit important if we're being honest eh], I'm not really into the gothic scene but old school gothic/punk woman light my fuse. I'm honest, [fairly] responsible [ha ha!] practical and hard working, but can party hard when needed!
I'm an animal lover and have a daft rescue Staffie bull terrier - I love getting out in the Yorkshire countryside for a walk with the dog or on my motorbike. I enjoy wild swimming, camping or bike rallies and try and do a few smaller festivals with my daughter.
