Hello...
I live in essex, near Southend-on-Sea. It's a place I love and hate in pretty much equal measure. On the one hand, my family and a lot of my closest friends live here. On the other hand it's full of people I find annoying and there are too many places here that smell weird. As a result, I spend a decent amount of time in London going to gigs, seeing films etc. Music is my main interest really and I'm an indie kid at heart. I especially like the weirder side of rock, and my favourite bands/singers tend to be experimental, political or f**ked up. If I'm lucky they're all three.
I enjoy reading, and I really like live comedy & live music. Recent things I've liked include Tony Law, Josie Long & Bridget Christie. Musically speaking, Mogwai & Big Thief were ace.
I work for a homelessness charity in Southend, helping run a house for people with mental health needs & addictions etc. It's great and I love it.
I can speak French & play the guitar. I do both quite poorly but if pushed I'd say I'm better at speaking French than I am at playing the guitar.
I'd definitely say I'm an easy going sort of person with an open minded attitude to life, but people who have everything figured out make me suspicious and jealous. My friends tell me I have a good sense of humour and that I'm a good listener.
