Well, well - It's looking good to me - so allow me to introduce myself. I am Lily, though not my given name I chose it to honor Lilith who's archetype and energy has both inspired and empowered me throughout my life. I am a Witch who chooses to walk a balanced path. Simply put, there can be no light without the darkness and both have aspects of insurmountable beauty as well as forces capable of inimical destruction within. As far as personal relationships go I do not believe it possible to fully love another being if you can not accept and embrace both sides of their nature.
I love all forms of creative expression. I appreciate and am thankful to the artists of this world for all they teach and share with us. I define an artist as one who creates something that has the power to evoke feeling and/or emotion in others.
Music has been, for the most part, the art form that I find most evocative and mesmerizing. It can induce a memory, create a feeling, set a scene . . . some say it even holds the power to "soothe the savage beast".
I have not been gifted musically, though I do sing, it's usually in the shower and I'd say that's for the good of all
I write. Lyrics, verse and fiction and it's a craft that I have come to love and incorporate into my life many ways. I like to sketch and paint just for fun. Other hobbies are working with wildlife rescue and rehab and 'clean' gardening - no pesticides, GMO's or any unhealthy additives to the Earth or the food. I also like to grow flowers, esp. night blooming exotics, because I can't think of many things more pleasing than walking beneath the moonlight on a Spring night when the air is flooded with the scent of Night Blooming Jasmine, Neroli and Queen of the Night blossoms.I have a very definite light and a very deep darkness that are always within me. Sometimes one over shadows the other and takes center stage for awhile, More often they play nicely together. I am seeking friends that are willing to know them both equally. I am ever hopeful that the time will come when I will meet my "best friend", my soul mate ~ someone who I am meant to fall in love with and that they will actually feel the same for me. Perhaps it's not a gift of this lifetime but I do continue to hope it will be.
