These are well arkward, I live near Leeds/Bradford in a quiet, posh, and pretty boring town called Ilkley. I play bass in a pretty noisy post-hardcore band (not the kind with the whingy screaming...) called Sounds of Swami which I've been in about 10 years now. Was playing in a ridiculous hardcore punk band called No Ta till recently. I listen to all kinds of music not just stuff that makes your ears bleed and like some really chilled stuff too, but 3 of my favorites are Propagandhi, Fugazi and Dead Kennedys. I also like rubbish tasteless music that was on Kerrang in the early 2000s that I can mosh out and pretend I'm 18 again to.
I play a bit of footy which my total lack of physical coordination limits a fair bit, but can get through alot of running, and attempt to ruin whoever I'm playing against's game by kicking and pushing them a bit.
Like to be outdoors as much as possible, not that it always happens, and am fortunate enough to live somewhere pretty so get out on the moors walking or on my bike a fair bit.
I'm a massive nerd with whatever I do, I game a bit if I ever actually have time to (I think I've played about 6 hours of FIFA and 3 hours of FFVII in the last 3 months so it's very very rare and I'm not sure why I've even mentioned it), and like a load of geeky films & TV, just without the comic book guy style knowledge of it to back it up. A few of my favourites are Curb, Alan Partridge, Arrested Development, South Park, Freaks and Geeks, Gilmore Girls (because I'm soft as ****), Community, The Office, Battlestar Galactica, anything involving Vic Reeves and Bob Mortimer, Shawshank Redemption, Garden State, Superbad, Guardians of The Galaxy, films with John Cusack in, really bad/good 80s films.
I do have a bit of aforementioned geek knowledge with guitar and music tech stuff, so for your own sake don't ask what my favourite bass amp is or something (I can tell you're all queuing up to ask me in your hundreds), because I will be guaranteed 100% to bore the sh*t out of you. If you happen to be in the very small proportion of the population that finds that interesting, we can have a lengthy dull but not dull discussion about overdrive pedals or something, I know how to f***ing party mate.
I also ramble ALOT - as you will have undoubtedly noticed by yourself - so be warned if you decide to message me or anything. I do occasionally try to indulge in meaningful in depth conversation about science, politics, the environment and the human condition, but I'm more suited to inane speculative or pedantic drivel.
