I was a singer, drummer and DJ in the Alt scene. My 'sensible' job is in academia. For 'fun' I write dystopian/cyber, dark science fantasy and/or historical fiction, when I get the time! Some of my stuff is out there on the net (goodreads, Lulu etc)- free reads/previews and to buy should anyone be feeling generous

Not looking for a date (cynical to the max about whether sites like this will ever work but hey if it happens) and DEFINITELY no hookups- panromantic (not bi but that was the only choice) but not poly. (Edit: let me spell this out, didn't think I'd have to but ho hum- no, no threesomes, no messages from people in 'open relationships' looking for a bit on the side, no relationships involving more than one person at a time- that's what 'NOT POLY' means. Never married, no kids both by choice. Not looking to be someone's stepmom or a baby sitter for a potential partner, but friends with kids bring it on. New friends of all sorts would be cool.
I don't game, (prefer to read) and have no tattoos.I'm probably the only person I know without any! If someone has them that's cool as it's their body but it's not something I'd want on me
Same with piercings really, I have a couple, one in my nose and seven in my ears but not necessary for other people to have many/any. I'm into a lot of sports (especially biathlon and other endurance sports,) sadly an armchair enthusiast as work and other stuff stops me participating...I guess it's worth staying for a bit if there are any nice people on here! (Note: I have no real response to 'winks'. It costs nothing but a few minutes of time to compose a message. So yeah, hi there but not sure where it's supposed to 'go' from a 'wink'. If you've sent one, thanks very much but I have no way to connect to that, so they're unlikely to generate a response, sorry.)
