Welcome to my profile. My life is rather unique, and I find it difficult to connect with other people, so I'm hoping the right ones will find me.
For those that want to know, my personality type is INFJ-T.
I enjoy spending my time indoors working with aquariums, reptiles(lizards), terrariums, occasionally playing video games, attempting overly ambitious indoor gardening projects, and learning to create music. I love to sing but am too nervous about anyone actually hearing me. Lately I have been focused on self improvement, home improvement and creating unique spaces in my home to enjoy.
I am looking for people with higher levels of empathy that I can understand and enjoy talking to.

I find that when I do get attached to a person, I am loyal, empathetic, and compassionate. I can be very open minded, understanding and supportive about almost anything, but when you get on my bad side... I don't forgive or forget easily.
Trust can take time to build for me, and so making and keeping friends is very difficult for me when I am faced with a situation that has no empathy, and no effort for understanding. Good communication, honesty and learning about the person I am speaking to is important to me. I won't remain friends with people that treat me badly or disrespect my boundaries. I make time for people that are able to make time for me, treat me well, and don't disregard my feelings. If you want friendship, you will need to be a friend to me as well.
I have been alternative since early teens. I have not made any close friends in many years, as I have been focused on self improvement, healing and growing without the influence of other people. I decided to chose my friends wisely. I needed to learn to be myself, and though I am not as confident as I would like to be with myself yet, I believe I am on the right path to becoming the best version of myself I can be as I continue this difficult search for kindred souls. My personality is very diverse and I react in different ways depending on how you use your words. I like to see emotion. If you are a robot or small talker I may not know how to reply.

My relationship status and what I am looking for beyond friendship is private and I don't openly discuss it until I get to know someone well enough.
I rarely feel attracted to people for anything beyond friendship. HUGE emotional long term connection required.
I am demisexual.
I'm incapable of having deeper feelings for someone that I don't have friendship and strong emotional connection with over a long period of time. I take time getting to know someone, and want to learn about a person on a deeper level. The right kind of person, with the right words can bring out the best in me. Otherwise I am known to be antisocial.
It is important to know that I am not a sexual person at all, so that type of stuff is not my priority in any way, and I don't want to hear about it or talk about it.
