I do play RPG's, FPS, but sorry no WOW anymore. Not into sports games.
For real sports, I like to do soccer, various swimming, hiking, marksmanship. I do not often enjoy watching sports, normally.
I shoot firearms at paper for fun, and firmly believe in responsible rights to do so. Not into hunting, something about the military probably, but don't read into it.
I have a steady job, some might even consider it a career... if they were sadistic.
I dream of space, time, and the final frontier.
I ride my motorcycle when the mood strikes me for fast & reckless.
I shave my head, for no other reason than I refuse to be defined by genes!
I've kept my goatee long since before the trend started swinging that way, now I think I may have to go clean-shaven or grizzly in order to maintain my counter-culture persona... haven't decided yet. I may ignore the trend altogether as beneath my attention.
I also drive a zippy but economical little car with bells & whistles when I feel like being inattentive or it's too hot out (I've roughed it many times, 'aircon' is a luxury I appreciate)!
My music is often loud, but randomly selected from a ridiculously large play list of thousands (approx 40GB currently loaded, more archived). Sometimes I turn it down very low, so it takes all my focus to hear it... or off altogether and I just REMEMBER the music! If for some reason what artists I listen to is important, then ask. Sorry, I pass on country. You can listen to it, but not I.
Children, animals, and the strange- I feel akin to. All else should tread carefully!
Most people I know make me want to cringe, puke, or cry.
Also I tend to feel more kinship with the young & wild, but I can hold a good conversation even with college professors, scientists, and older people.
I love eccentrics, like me they simply don't care what the rest of the world thinks.
But life, the world, and people, are so agonizingly beautiful.
If I had a nest egg, I'd likely buy a mountain or island, fortify it, and leave humanity to rot save those I liked and genuinely thought worth bothering to exert effort for.
I am deeply, embarrassingly, romantic. I am still/ or rather again looking for *her* that I can love until the end of time. *her*=placeholder pronoun, in case you didn't get that by context.
Thankfully at my experience level, it takes more than a pretty face to hook me... but it is a start! Joke- my definition of pretty would never show up on vogue.
I love tattoos & piercings, but equally have a fondness for the look & feel of unadorned flesh.
I meditate as often as I can muster the willpower.
I like yoga, real yoga like Bikram's, not that sissy fairy s**t you'd never find in a real ashram on the subcontinent! Yet relaxing stretching in a comfortable room using yoga-inspired postures is very nice.
I study a lot of different disciplines.
Have studied martial arts, will not teach, demonstrate, or film for you. I do it for me and no one else.
I own pointy objects, which I will not make a youtube video of using.
I read constantly; science, occult, fiction, bigraphical, theory, history, etc.
I am "areligious", as in I don't have OR WANT one. If you want someone to share your religion with, it's not to be, sorry.
I love spritiual (or just spirited!) discussions however, provided you're willing to discuss it baldly, honestly, and be subjected to occassional pokes from my wit. I promise I am a good sport in turn, lol.
*A note on sexuality:
For the orientation I listed myself as straight, but I'm sorta bi... (in fact most men I know make me tempted to side with feminazis and become full lesbian, smelly creatures that men are, yet almost unaccountably I cannot distance myself from several of my own man-category qualities) but due at least in part that I'm honest with myself enough to know there's more to what I'm attracted to than just a gender.
In fact I've always historically dated women, am deeply entranced and attracted to women, but have found that attraction sometimes - for people of rare quality - crosses the traditional gender boundary. I have experimented with people chromosomally male, but who perhaps *expressed* a femininity (for a lack of a better word) which a part of me responded to in a primal mating-rhythm way. So therefore I am not opposed to a relationship that isn't strictly defined by gender opposites.
However, I warn all of you facial hair is a bit of a turn off for me!
I adore and am incited by the feminine in a way that can only be expressed through art perhaps, but I find that in order to be honest both with myself and any possible future intimate relations I have, this is the only selection available.
Other thoughts; I don't need to hear about what you don't like about me. If you're interested, say so. Life's too short for coyness. If you're not, then move on without a word and I promise I won't mind a bit.
Finally, I'm on here as I've spend the last 10 years going the wrong direction, looking for something where it wasn't to be found, and denying myself & others the happiness each deserved, so I'm hoping to find at least new friends, may be someone I feel a genuine bone-deep, earth-moving connection with. If not, well I'll keep marching on.
