Hello, my name is Peter Morgan, others call by various nicknames; Dougal, Whiskers... You on the other hand can call me anything you like, except late for dinner.
I consider myself to be quite the romantic guy, I love to have a nice meal with a glass of wine and spend time getting to know someone new or even just staying in and watching a good film - I love all genres of film.
I have a daughter with an ex partner. Just wanted to mention this so there is no unexpected surprises. I'm always 100% honest in relationships and that is what I'm here for. I would like a long term relationship where people don't give up at the first hurdle. But I will leave that with you.
I'm not the typical "manly man" as you will eventually find out. But I'm not a pushover. So I humbly ask you to not even try.
I have various passions and hobbies which include;
English Language and Literature:
I love how the English language is composed of many beautiful words. I have some favourites, like; impromptu, spontaneous and petricore. Have no idea why I like them. Just seem to roll off the tongue.
I also like poetry. Especially war poetry and Shakespeare's sonnets. How every line has a meaning and how some poetry is open to interpretation. I love to to debate about the literal meaning and metaphorical meaning. I also write poetry myself. I keep a diary filled with my poems.
Romance:
I absolutely adore romance, the way love is conveyed in so many ways. I personally express my love through poetry and what I do. I'm a fairly spontaneous romantic. I love to see the surprise on the persons face when I serenade them in love and passion.
Computers and gaming:
I am a massive computer nerd. I love working with computers and tinkering around with electronics. One project I've been working on is an emulation console with the Raspberry Pi. If you're interested I'll show you a modification I've done to an existing console.
Horology:
I collect pocket watches and clocks alike. I find clockwork so intricate and beautiful to look at. How every piece has its purpose and works in unison, without said piece. The clock would not function. You could almost compare it to the human body.
I am no angel. I do have pet peeves like any other human being. But the most irritating thing in my opinion, is when people abbreviate the English language without need, text speak as it's most colloquially referred to as. So I implore you to not message me with; "Hi, Hw r u" because I will reply but it will be that I'm not interested. I have nothing against dyslexia as that's understandable but any other reason is inexcusable.
I just would like to end with a warning. I am a very brutally honest person. I'm not afraid to say what's on my mind. Please bare in mind it's not me being rude. On the plus side. At least you will know where you stand with me.
If you would like to get to know me and maybe see how things go then by all means message me, I will always reply even if I am not interested because I like to meet new people also.
