I enjoy a lot of things. I go backpacking on a regular basis every year, still haven't completed the triple crown yet though. I also want to attempt the Pacific Northwest Trail in the winter, as it passes through some of the most scenic winter vistas in the country, including Glacier Park. I also mountain climb on those trips, but the easy route, I'm not THAT much of a thrill seeker, I just really enjoy the view.
I'm a huge night owl, I enjoy looking at the stars and am working towards my degree in astrophysics so I can do something I have an absolute passion for. I have my own telescope and it's absolutely serene, even if it is just a 6", one day I'll get that 14" dobsonian. The best is on those clear, cold and dry winter days, the entire night sky is absolutely breathtaking and becomes a personal playground.
I cook, yes, as in I really cook, not just fry up bacon or microwave ramen and call that breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Experimenting with new foods and flavors is always a thrilling experience and I do it quite often. I also love to go out to new or different restaurants and try something unique. It's a big reason I travel as well, the food in another country is a far more compelling way to have memories of a place and much better to connect with the culture and locals then some boring tourist attraction everyone else goes to see.
Besides that, I'm also a huge audiophile, music is a constant background in my life. The only things that I don't like are country, 'mainstream' pop, and 'drrty south' rap. Give me a new band/group/singer and you'll have made my whole day.
Note 1: I am fresh out of the Navy and haven't gotten back my whole 'look' yet and habits have died hard, BUT the 'attitude' never dies, eh?
Note 2: I have several tattoos, ask and ye shall see. I don't like to openly advertise them on most pictures.
