I am going to be clear at the outset I do not believe in monogamous relationships. I have a partner who has been with me for several years, and while we only get to see one another a couple of days a month, the relationship means a great deal to me. Anything I do with others is done with her full knowledge and consent. I do not want to consider anything being done behind anyone's back. That said, I am looking for a committed, long term relationship here, preferably with someone near to me, as I have done the long distance thing a little too often. I want someone who can be with me, and be part of me, to share whatever life can bring our way. I have no desire to do the one night stand thing, and since I am a Byronic romantic at heart, I'd like to believe that there is someone out there to walk beside me all the way.
What am I looking for? Well, I do not have a type to speak of. I tend to find I am attracted to everyone on their own merits. However, saying that, I love tattoos and piercings, a wicked (and sarcastic) sense of humour, and I am very much attracted to intelligence. Age is not really a factor for me. Someone older, someone younger if we click, we click, and that is what really matters. The goth look, the dark and dangerous, alternative, multi-hued hair: I have always loved it, and that is never going to change! But brains are just so damn s*xy!
I have done a variety of jobs for a living, including working in the NHS, which was very rewarding. These days, I work for myself which is to say, I am artistic and have a tiny income. Specifically, I compose music of various sorts, for myself, or on commission basis. When I say compose music I do not mean I am in a band it is much more than that. I can, and do, compose orchestral music. I'm happy to provide examples if anyone reading this is interested. I own a lot of instruments, and can play most of them to a decent standard. My current favourite is the mandolin, but it varies.
I'm also an actor I went to drama school to get my BA in drama. My next project should be a biopic of someone in Northern Ireland. I may be naked. You have been warned! Updates here as they occur
I'm a keen LARPer, and play in several systems. I am also a writer and ref for the LARP company Lumpy Rubber Sheep who produce several weekend-long shows throughout the LARP season. I'm getting more and more into cosplay, too, and I am just as likely to cosplay a female as a male character. Gender is not a big deal, as far as I am concerned. Be yourself!
I read a great deal. I love the works of Jim Butcher, Gail Carriger, and Jane Austen (there's a mixture for you.) I believe my favourite TV show is the original Doctor Who (not so bothered about the new stuff) and my taste in music is so broad that it would be very hard for me to point at anything I have not been into at some point in my life.
There's a few criteria a profile would need to fulfill to pique my interest. Not writing in txt spk is one of them. If you cant take the time to write with proper English, punctuation, grammar, or capitalisation, then were probably not going to get along. Equally, if you are wearing hideous pink lipstick, think an orange fake tan, and a series of duck faced photographs are all attractive, were definitely not going to click.
In my case, gender is fluid. You're likely to find me wearing ladyclothes as well as female, and if this an issue, you may have to look elsewhere. My health is not good, but with the right person, I am sure this wont be an issue.
