Hi! My name is John, my friends call me Johnny. I'm finally starting to come out of my shell a little more and becoming a little more adventurous. I'm trying to experiment and experience more socially and generally, and learn to grow and figure myself out a little more.
I've always been a bit of a bookworm, and like to indepthly research whatever topic interests me at the time, and topics that other people are interested in order to understand and connect with them better. Hilariously, despite my frame and size, never was interested in sports, (Regardless of the constant attempted recruiting by my high school football coach
) and consequently have no knowledge on conventional sports because of it.I'm a bit of a geek, and like to nerd out on things, the usual, video games, comic books, certain films and tv shows. I like to cosplay (on a budget
) and learn the lore of certain universes and continuities, and play a series from the beginning all the way to the most updated possible to fully grasp a plot or story.Punk rock as you can see, is a huge influence in my life, and I "wear the badge" proudly. It became my outlet for my hurt and aggression when I was young and turned it into something more manageable and healthy. I was able to direct my anger toward something constructive, and my selfish pain turned to empathy for humanity instead of self pity. It helped my grow and open my eyes to other viewpoints and to question what is really right and wrong and the authorities that enforce it. The scene's camaraderie and unified but separate purpose of being there made me feel not alone and accepted for my rebellious nature, while still having a code of ethics. It may seem silly for some but this music changed my life, some of you understand even if it's a different genre that you listen too, but I know you understand where I'm coming from.
