I'm a relatively quiet individual with a quick and often sarcastic sense of humour. Although not particularly extrovert, I like to think of myself as 'quietly confident'. It can take me a while to come out of my shell sometimes - but it's worth the perseverance, promise! Friends often describe my personality as laid back or 'horizontal'. Not sure if that's a compliment or not.
I love classic cars - You'll often find me with my head under a bonnet. My current project is a completely impractical 1981 BMW which I plan to drive to some European festivals during the summer. I'm always berated for being broken down on a motorway somewhere miles from home. I nearly always get it going though to be fair. It adds a little bit of uncertainty to every journey, which I quite like.

That nicely links me into travelling - which I also love. It would be good to meet someone who wants to explore some far flung locations like Thailand or Cuba with me. Failing that I'll take Chester Zoo. I'm the kind of person who like to see the real place I'm visiting though - local culture, food, activities etc. rather than just drinking by a pool all day.
I also love music - mainly guitar based, but not exclusively. I attend alot of gigs, festivals etc. both with friends and via work. I was previously employed as a guitar teacher and I still play regularly in my spare time. My other love/hate is food. I'm a pretty good home cook and make possibly the best lasagne you've ever tasted. You can often find me smashing food into my face in the NQ - Luck Lust, Solita, Almost Famous etc. All of them. In and around my mouth.
Also a proud geek (seems everyone is these days?). I like pretty much anything sci-fi. Books, films, games... If it has aliens, lasers, monsters, zombies, robots etc. I'll probably like it. I'm not particularly high-brow in this regard. I also like nature/science docs. I like to know how the world works and have a naturally curious mind.
