Hello, I'm Rachael, a 24-year-old woman from Vegas who is looking for friends and potentially something romantically serious.
I'm fairly friendly and out-going, I enjoy intelligent and deep conversations and have a deep love of science. I'm rather determined and when I set my mind on something I have a tendency to see it through to the end. Creative, talkative, and kind-hearted are a few things that define me, I'm extroverted but prefer to hold a small group of close friends rather than a large one. I also now have two tattoos and I intend to get more over time.
I have been hurt by others quite a bit in my short life, but I am moving forward in my life, healing and growing from everything I experience and for romance, I'm hoping to find someone who is willing to grow with me just as I'd grow with them. I don't do drugs, and I'm not interested in someone who uses drugs either. I do sometimes drink at home on my own while reading or watching a movie after a long day, however.
I have a tendency to wear my heart on my sleeve and go out of my way to help others even in small ways such as helping gather up shopping carts in the parking lot to make someone else's job a little easier. I believe we are all in this world together and should treat each other equally. I can be very passionate about quite a few topics, and while I like to think I know a great deal I am fully aware that I know very little to nothing in comparison to what exists.
I'm a romantic at heart and I don't believe in rushing into things when it comes to romance, I'm at that point in my life where I want to take things slow to get to know someone as they are before I jump into something more. That doesn't mean I don't believe in instant attraction, love at first sight or anything of that nature, I just would prefer to know the person more in-depth before I get deeper into something with them. ( I don't jump into bed with someone without knowing them fairly well. )
Currently, I am reaching the end of my employment as a PCA ( Someone who helps and cares for the elderly and disabled ) due to seeking more experience in other career fields. I am in the process of seeking another job and registering with UNLV to pursue a degree in Biological Sciences, I intend to obtain a Masters degree in this field even if it takes me a bit longer to do. Science has always been a great passion of mine, so my pursuit of this career is something I hold very close to my heart.
I'm an animal lover and I'm the type of person who would be quick to take home an entire shelter if I had the money, space and time. I hope to one day have kids of my own, but not for another five years at the very least. I love sci-fi, comedy, action, fantasy, fiction, and romance when it comes to books, and all except romance when it comes to movies.
I like sweets and savory foods, Italian and Mexican cuisine are some of my favorites. I enjoy writing, reading, swimming, playing tennis, making puzzles and turning them into posters, learning new things, cooking, and gaming whenever I have the opportunity. One of my greatest dislikes is having to stay idle with nothing to do for long periods of time. I do believe in reincarnation and strongly in karma.
