If humans worked harder on the hate and greed that plagues us. Yup that would be cool .. of course people are going to tell me it's unrealistic. But I think it's possible. Especially if we are able to go to the moon.

Rant sorta over lol

Reminds me of an old abandoned house that was near one of my old jobs. My coworker called it the Blair Witch House.

How should we work harder to stamp out greed and hate in all its forms? Should be a very simple plan.

Gru, that's a good question, especially since the Earth is heavily populated. With many different cultures and belief systems. A good start would be our government would portion out our resources equally.

For example both the USA and the UK take in a lot of refugees and they have to support them while getting on their feet. But when you give a non citizen free rent for up to two years on top of money, food, medical it's going to cause a out wage for citizens who work and still struggle to afford basic needs. Making those who are struggling blame the refugees.

Some people take advantage of the USA and UK, just recently a man from Venezuela was on tiktok bragging how he gets Free rent and 14,000 a month on top of medical for him and his girlfriend. I believe he was investigated I don't remember what happened.... But this lead to outrage and a lot of racism.

But it covered both bases!!

Greed: "Free"

Hate: "Hugs"

Problem. Solved. 🤙 You're welcome!

Hate and greed? I see a lot of people hating other people because they have more money than they do, which is a clear sign of greed as well. If people spent more time focusing on their own self improvement, or didn't take what they do have for granted, there'd probably be a lot less hate in the world from people who perceive their lack of material things as being other people's fault.

Damn right Eoten, why do people think they should be able to eat when it would affect Jeff Bezos bottom line? Its the poor that are ruining the world, the poor 1% did nothing wrong

Psychopatrish

Apr 15, 2025 13:11

I mean, I gave up eating for Lent so Blue Origin could gas up enough for 5 fascists to dịck around in space for 10 minutes.

I've done my part.

Eoten

Apr 15, 2025 13:32

Who is stopping you from eating? Jeff Bezos isn't. Jeff Bezos having money doesn't take it away from you. It doesn't make you earn less, it doesn't deny you a higher paying job. It literally has zero influence on your life.

This to me would be impossible why, well whether you believe the Bible or not, if Jesus couldn't do it by showing his miracles of curing the leper or curing the blind roman who stabbed him when he was on the cross, then I don't think we are capable of doing it. Maybe in small groups yes, but a mass scale, no.

My other theory is that this greed and violence is in our DNA, like a sleeper agent waiting till the population hits a certain number then bam, we have hate and war and greed. Back in the ice age stuff you only see figurines of goddesses of fertility, wasn't till we started taming the land that we started to have gods of war and such. Look at modern apes for example, back when I was a kid I did not hear anything about them having actual warfare with each other, but now that we pushed them out of their habitats their warfare DNA started to kick in. Why, cause their land that they could live in has gotten smaller, but if their population has stayed the same as their land decreased, then it must be in our nature somewhere that tells us, hey there's too many of us and not enough space, so then whatever genetic code starts to subliminally trigger that violent part of us. Only till our population is at a certain point would we have co existence with each other again. When will that happen, who knows, after a nuclear warfare or something. Would be interesting though to see if this theory is true or not, like time travel forwards to see if decreasing the population actually has any affect on our violent/greedy nature. Kinda like Thanos theory from Marvel movies.

I think sayng "whether you believe in the bible or not" then fllowing it up with something that would only apply if you believe in the bible is a weird way to phrase something... Like, if you don't believe in it, Jesus didn't do s**t son.

Hate and greed clearly stem from biological urges hardwired into our brains by evolution. In-group / out-group dynamics in primitive societies directly bear on survival. Modern industrialized societies try to mitigate that with varying degrees of success.

When the wealth gap is as wide as it currently is, and when one understands there are limited resources in the world, it’s pretty easy to see why people hate billionaires. That there are still people who exist who believe billionaires just work harder than the average blue collar worker or are smarter than the average doctor, lawyer, professor, etc. and therefore deserve their extravagant wealth is a testament to the human capacity for self-delusion.

@Jaypril your first reply is exactly my point about the Bible or Quran. If it is true and those are correct, not even God or son of God could unite people so what can. Even if you read it as a fantasy story, if an all might being can't, then what truly can? Nothing.

Jay Jay

Apr 15, 2025 18:12

If you read it as a fantasy story, an all mighty being didn't do s**t. Like, i'm not going to assume i cant do something because a fictional character couldnt do it, that's insane.

I can 100% leap tall buildings in a single bound.

Aren't we just a programmed alien bio-weapon created as an army for a war that ended thus were never retrieved and used, then were forgotten or left to do whatever, on the probability that we wouldn't cause much of a problem for any other solar system?

The only way to significantly change, is with a situation of significant change. So pray to the stars for asteroid cataclysm to give this world another do over. Back to basics. I wouldn't be so optimistic things would workout any better though.
