That is, if you’re committed to being a stereotypical example of an individual from a specific subculture or group. I’m not particularly goth or alt myself and most of you guys are, so it’ll be interesting to see what heterodox things you like outside that subculture. As the title of the post suggests, sometimes having these nonconforming likes can make you a somewhat of an outcast in your chosen group.
For me, as a beer-swilling, metal-loving, hockey-playing, thoroughly blue collar manly man, the thing people seem most often surprised by is my affinity for the music of Adele. The woman can sing like no one else, I genuinely admire her talent and love her music.
What’s something you’re “not supposed” to like but you do anyway because fück the stereotype?

I wouldn't say I'm not supposed to like it. Or its not stereotypical, because sub-culture music lovers, can enjoy other genres of music. I like some classical music, some 40's, 50's music, blues, & even some 80's pop. I even appreciate some specific Australian 80s pop music on occasion. I'll leave a good Aus 80s track. 😊 |

Well, I like SOME The Cure songs, but I can't name their titles or any albums.... |
