Siren has a couple big reasons up front (literally) that would help with flotation. If she tried to bite me, that probably wouldn’t be so bad.

If you're in the ocean with a siren, you've probably already been lured to your doom and your boat is no more. Which leaves you in the water for sharks anyway. All roads lead to rome... or in this case jaws. Might as well pick sharks if they're going to pick you sooner or later in this scenario.

Is the siren a Dixie horn? That would repel just about anyone, so you'd be safe from dolphins for sure.

And is the shark a megalodon, because you could probably ride that into battle. Which would be fairly interesting.

Well, if I’m being consistent with my reasoning from Man vs. Bear, I have to take shark in this case because it probably presents a marginally better chance at survival, especially if the call of the siren really is irresistible.
