Abominable Putridity is a Russian slam death metal band originary of Moscow. The band has released 2 albums; In The End Of Human Existence and The Anomalies of Artificial Origin.
Abominable Putridity was formed in 2002 by Sergey and Alexander . After a year had passed, the vocalist Vladimir joined the band. In 2004, Andrey K., the former bassist of Vermicular Decay, joined to Abomianble Putridity and the line-up was completed. In 2006, the band recorded their first demo of 2 tracks which was released in may of the same year in CD format. Vladimir left the band in november and was replaced by Cameron Argon.
Abominable Putridity performed in several small gigs and metal festivals in the Moscow region; in one of those gigs, the band met Jim of Lacerated Enemy Records, who offered them their first record contract. During the recording sessions, Argon left the band and was temproaly replaced by Andrey: the first full-length album of the band, called In The End Of Human Existence, and their tracks were more fast-paced than the band's previous efforts and received positive reviews; the work was finished in December 2007 and the CD was released in May 2008.
In January 2009, Matti W. -the only American in the band- joined to the line-up and Andrey became again as free bassist.
The band signed with the label Brutal Bands in 2011, recording a 3 tracks demo simply called as Promotional CD 2011. The next year, Abominable Putridity released their second album, The Anomalies of Artificial Origin.
